Great Spa of O Carballiño

The Great Spa (Gran Balneario) uses the most important of the 3 springs in this town. It is located on the left bank of the river Arenteiro and close to the Municipal Park and the center of the town. The complex has a pavilion of water users with the spring of water, which flows at 26º and is suitable for hepatic, intestinal and respiratory conditions, and with the bath House, the work of architect Daniel Vázquez-Gulias Martínez, inaugurated in 1900. The building houses the main facilities of the spa, renovated and expanded, with baths, showers, inhalations and hydromassage. Modern facilities in a historic building. It also has landscaped areas and its surroundings leads to the flow of the river, passable on its two banks, with waterfalls and ancient trees.
